I really loved the location. For me, being able to exit my room and the hotel and get to my car quickly was important and convenient. For this reason, i didn't choose a larger hotel. We didn't have an issue with parking and the elevator is right next to the door in the lobby. Check in was fast and easy and they were able to accommodate an early check in. I booked 2 queens but was accommodated with 2 doubles instead. They didn't mention the swap but for me it wasn't a big deal since we got the early check in anyways. The manager was friendly and made recommendations about Universal Studios. The room was spacious and the shower was great. The bed was good. Linens are thin so maybe ask for an extra blanket if you're used to a heavy blanket. What's nice is that the windows open. One thing I noticed is even with the bathroom exhaust fan on, the room still accumulated moisture in the windows. The traffic light when you leave doesn't turn green or you have to wait a long time, we just made a right turn to leave. Oh and they offer to-go breakfast. Overall, I would stay here again.

But for once, the thing that stood out the most was the staff, I arrived at a hotel where I was to be greeted by staff members who were very helpful and insightful and they did not made it feel like a chore when answering my questions not being from the area. I don't remember his full name, but if you're there and find yourself talking to a guy whose name starts with a J, be ready to be welcome like family.

Great location (20min walk to Universal Studios). Comfortable beds. Microwave, fridge and coffee machine in the room. Decent selection of toiletries provided. Tea and coffee making facilities next to the front desk. The choice at breakfast is limited (e.g. bagels, cereal, oats, yogurt, juice and hot drinks) but good considering it was included in the price.

The hotel was well maintained, and the staff was amazing. Our rooms were clean and well stocked. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Great location. Pizza and coffee across the street. Very close for Universal Studios. I was traveling with my parents and my kids, so being able to have a joining room was nice. Overall, our stay was pleasurable.

Friendly staff. Easy parking. Clean, comfortable rooms and I love the old Hollywood decor. It was an easy walk up the hill to Universal Studios and would be an easy drive or uber too. A Starbucks is across the street and Miceli's Italian restaurant nearby was a great experience for dinner.
